Under House Arrest

It’s as though my parents want me to be a failed blogger. . .

My internet time is now limited to between dinner and dominoes. My dad says I’m a ‘net addict, that I’m in danger. I just laugh, and tell him I’ve read Otherland by Tad Williams too. I know what a real ‘net addict is. But, at any rate, I’m unable to say much of anything in my limited time online, so my apologies for skimping on the posts.

Three new chapters of Mushi-Hime are on the way! Be prepared for some real excitement, drama, and tragedy. That’s all I’m gonna say about THAT. . .

My life’s been pretty quiet over the last few days. Today was a real hoot, though: I went shopping with my mother. It was actually really fun, because when my brother gets home on the 30th, I’m making a Japanese dinner with Crab-roll Nori, Sukiyaki, and Ohagi. If it all works out according to plan, I’ll post recipes afterwards (modified by me, of course). Anyways, due to the exotic nature of my culinary endeavors, I was permitted to go to that mecca of tasty awesomeness: the Asia’s Family Market in Traverse City!!! Seriously, if you’re ever in TC, you MUST go there. It smells like a spice market, but it’s the coolest place EVER! Every time I’m in there, I try to buy the store. It’s that awesome.

We also went appliance shopping for my brother, which was awesome only because there was so much cool stuff to look at! Like a tiny rice cooker! I want one so badly! And little crock pots. . .and a grill pan. . .and sharp, shiny knives . . . and skillets that I want for my very own. . .

Yeah. I’m a cooking geek. Your point?

Anyways, it was a full day. And the best part? Steubenville has started forwarding my mail! I got my Roy Mustang mini pins today!! <insert squee of joy here> And my netflix that went missing! It was the best day ever, sans hillfolk!

Well, time to go whoop my parents’ butts at train dominoes. So long for now, my friends!

PS: If you haven’t read it, Otherland is an amazing, giant, 4-volume book. Seriously. It’ll take you a year to read it, but it’s worth it, I swear. And very few people have actually done it, so you can call yourself one of the elite if you can pull it off. It’s the best sci-fi/fantasy book I’ve read in years. And even my dad liked it, which is huge because he normally hates the stuff I read. SO READ IT!!

PPS: Apologies for the random caps. I’m just very manic today.
